Arc is an Insurance and Pension Agency located in Austria. They are part of Uniqa Group. Uniqa is one of the leading insurance groups in its core markets of Austria and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Uniqa has approximately 40 companies in 19 countries and serves more than 10 million customers.
Arc was looking for an easy solution to provide address books accessible by the entire organization (40 offices) from their Gmail account, their mobile phone, or their Google Contacts manager. Google does not provide a feature to share lists of contacts. It doesn't synchronize contacts seamlessly and its delegation feature has several limitations.
Franz Mühlbacher, Managing Director of Arc, explained that since they started using G Suite/Google Workspace, they couldn’t find a solution to properly manage the company contacts’ across the company. They are part of a large organization. Thus, it is essential to make specific contacts accessible to the proper departments and people. “Some contacts are for the back office, others for the front office. Also, some have to be divided between the different agents.”

Now Arc has the possibility to have their address books organized and updated. Additionally, the organization can easily distribute the contacts to the appropriate groups. In turn, the shared contacts appear in autocomplete on the recipient field of the user's Google account-connected apps.
