In RingCentral, it can be quite overwhelming handling the contact details of both in-bound and out-bound calls. Thanks to Google Contacts and Shared Contacts for Gmail®, you can now access all the Google contacts shared in your organisation directly from your RingCentral interface.

Time needed: 3 minutes.

Follow the simple steps below to use your Google Contacts in RingCentral:

  1. First, the person who manages the contacts in your organization, must make sure that the contacts are shared with the HelloSign users ,by logging into the Share Contacts for Gmail® dashboard.

  2. If the contact lists are not shared yet, simply click on the contact list (label) you want to share and click on the ‘share’ icon to choose the collaborators.

    The shared icon is shown on the right hand side of your labels.

  3. Type your desired collaborators, being contacts or domain groups, in the search bar, and set the access permissions for the collaborators.

    To set permission access, click the downwards arrow by “View only” to pull all permission options available.

  4. Here you can see the new collaborators being displayed.

  5. Now that your shared contacts are synced to your Google Contacts, it will be a breeze to sync your Google Contacts to RingCentral. Lets begin by logging into your RingCentral account.

  6. Launch and log in to your RingCentral Phone.

  7. Click Settings > Contacts.

  8. Toggle the switch ON for View Google contacts.

    You will be asked to log in to your Google account.

  9. Log in to your Google account to Authorise access for the RingCentral Phone.

  10. Click Allow to confirm RingCentral Phone’s access to your Google contacts.

  11. You will then see your Google account is logged in to your RingCentral Phone.
